Maybe we should say: yes, he is Europe’s most compact, ultra-modern, unbreakable and unmissable sound machine, interfacing with the dance crowds via two external record players ... Over the years, Stereo started touring, and de Luxe’s message came grooving out of the loudspeaker systems of a plethora of international clubs. Ecstatic dancers were alerted and flocked to where the action was: in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland and also the US, clubsters were granted an audience with His Grooveship, who, sporting a suit and a big grin, was not alone in his struggle to make the night crowds break on through the doors of rhythm: In 1998, Stereo de Luxe - fully grown into being a two-headed producer-team hit gold and discovered the dance-sound for the millennium; de Luxe’s new mix combines massive big beats, wild 60’s samples, basslines far in excess of the regular speed limit, bongo-mania and inspired sound bites taken from cult trash movies into a unique mondo-sound. Mondo de Luxe: that is House, Hip-Hop, Drum’ n’ Bass, all rolled into one big mouth-watering sound burrito that has everyone’s enzymes doing overtime in a frenzy of anticipation that boldly takes our nonchalant hero where no DJ has ever gone before. Stereo moves on, remoulding, reinventing the new, improved wheel as he goes along.
