Mid Week Breaks

The artists behind the tracks released on Functional Breaks have all written music which is not intended for the dancefloor and that is what has brought about this album. Midweek Breaks has been compiled by one of the leading Balearic producers in the UK Steve Miller who DJs and Records under the Afterlife name. Steve who has recorded with Jose Padilla, Ibizarre and Chris Coco in Ibiza is about to release an album of his own material on leading chill out label Hed Kandi. Simplicity is released this summer as a double CD with the second CD featuring remixes of Afterlife tracks. Afterlife have a number of tracks included on this years Ibiza chill out albums and will be performing on the island between July 12th and 25th of this year. The album moves from the haunting Flamenco guitar of Project X, through the lush production of Lux, building with the funky breakbeat of Dr Fink and The Spoon Wizard to the laid back disco sound of Dr Fink before Lux Afterlife and Project X chill it out again to finish the journey.
