Meat Katie is the DJing name of Mark Pember, a man with more fingers in more pies than most. He first came to prominence as producer and co-writer fore Ceasefire (with Jason O’Bryan) the groundbreaking act that put Wall of Sound on the map with “Trickshot”. He then began his solo career as Meat Katie, releasing a slew of singles on Kingsize Records, which created plenty of dancefloor mayhem and generated much critical acclaim. True to his roots he continues to DJ at a number of residencies (including The Sonic Mook Experiment and High Octane) as well as hitting other high profile dancefloors (Reading Festival, In The City, Bolognas Mafia Club) Since the release of his album “Off The Bone” he has gained a higher profile with interviews in Melody Maker, Loaded and Wax. His latest project restores him with Dub Pistols’ Bassmaster Jason O’Bryan for their joint project Avenue A.
