B.L.I.M. & VINI
Vini established the Emotif and Botchit & Scarper labels in late '95 and has so far sourced and developed over 30 acts in total. DJing since '96 beginning with some time partner Freq.Nasty, Vini has since played out weekly far and wide. Vini is also well established on the exploding internet radio scene. In 98 Vini initiated a collaboration project between Botchit & Scarper artists, the Asian Dub Foundation and members of London's Community music, including Cavern favorite Filthy Rich. Youths of varying social, racial and disability backgrounds worked to realize their own musical successes, culminating with the release or the ground breaking album 'Militant Science' B.L.I.M.'s influences range from the early Detroit U.S.and British Techno scenes through to Classical, Psychedelic and original breaks. '99 has seen B.L.I.M. proliferate especially with studio co-owner Freq Nasty with whom he has released a single under the tag 'High Prime' on Adam Freelands label Marine Parade, the two have also been busy mixing the likes of Steve Reich and Metisse to high acclaim and have planned an album for the new year.You can check out Vini and other DJs from the label on Botchit Broadcasts which is broadcast every Tuesday 10pm-12pm on Interface Pirate Radio
