Marine Parade Records Night

BLIM & FreQ Nasty

Future Underground Nation have linked up with Interface Internet Radio to make the first live Internet Radio Webcast from The Cavern Club. This will be the first of a series of live Webcasts from the Cavern throughout 1999. F.U.N.’s twice monthly breaks night Beatz & Bobz will be going live on-line on the 24th of April with their regular Marine Parade Records night. This night will also be the first visit to the West Country for B.L.I.M and Freq Nasty who record for Marine Parade under the High Prime name.

The first Marine Parade night with Adam Freeland was No1 in DJ Magazines “Top 5 nights in the South” and was featured on Pete Tongs Friday night show. This prompted a three page write up in Plymouth University’s bi monthly magazine Illuminate about Beatz & Bobz. Adam was interviewed after his set and his reaction to the night was “Wicked, excellent, a really Vibrant crowd and a really good atmosphere”.The second Marine Parade records night at the Cavern features an act that records exclusively for Adam Freeland’s label. High Prime play their first DJ set outside of London making another first for the Cavern. High Prime is a collaboration between breakbeat bravehearts Freq Nasty and B.L.I.M. Recording under their own guises both Freq Nasty and B.L.I.M. have achieved huge success with recent singles on Botchit & Scarper. They rarely have time to sleep; B.L.I.M. is the resident jock at London’s top Drum & Bass night Movement, whilst Freq Nasty is a resident at 333’s regular 3D night. As a DJ duo High Prime made their debut last year at the Marine Parade Launch Party at The End, where they absolutely tore the place apart. The two nu school breaks fine practitioners will bring a diverse set to the Cavern tonight, watch out for samples and imagery from 50s sci-fi B-movies. High Prime make their long awaited debut on Adam Freeland’s imprint with a double A-sided window to the future. ‘Funky As..’ was first featured on Adam’s ‘Coastal Breaks 2’ compilation and has since received success as their first single release for Marine Parade.
