Top Tunes

01. Junior O - 'I Am The Vibe'(Glow) First test pressing of the week, and its, well it certainly IS the vibe. On the back of the mailer it came in someone had written "a dirty piece of house muzik, Even Norman Cooke's (spelt wrong) gone bonkers for this!" How could he not? Its fast and disgusting, and Junior O please do some more like this. Whooo!

02. Rennie Pilgrem presents Thursday Club - 'Some Place Funky' (Mob) Well this is the funkiest place I've been to for a long time. Its a wish record for me, because it combines funkiness with nu-skool breakiness with a lot of wit thrown in. I'm just torn between the Ladbroke Groove Mix on the A side, and the AA2 Wigwam remix on the flip. Get another copy and play them both at the same time I suppose is the answer. Shout out to Tayo for getting me on this, and hope your night with Adam Freeland at home on Thursday took off through the 7th floor! AHHH. I know, I'll try this one through the Kaoss box, a new effects toy I got this week.

03. Pantaloon - 'The Spoon Wizard' (Functional Breaks) Kind of a laid back quite thought provoking cool tune here, could be the sort that gets in under your skin, in your brain and won't go away. Nice.

04. Osymyso - 'A dog A Panic In A Pagoda' (Sprawl) A Dog A Panic In A Pagoda (taken from the album 'Welcome To The Palindrome') is a track I've been playing for the past couple of weeks, which is very funny if you have a sick disturbed sense of humour like Chris Morris, of whom I'm a great fan. 'Welcome To The Palindrome' is a whole album of cut-ups and brained beats.
