Functional Breaks eighteenth release see's the latest addition to the labels growing international roster making his debut release with this double A side. DJ Killer known as Rafa Alcantara to his mother comes from Andalusia in Southern Spain He started out his musical career in 1987 where he was involved in the early Techno scene, moving to the Costa del Sol In 1991 Rafa landed a residency at 'Pacha' in Ciudad Real where he stayed for two years.

In 1994 started a club called "El Punto" in Andujar, playing House, Breakbeat and Techno converting the locals to dance music and cementing his reputation as one of the areas leading DJs. Moving to Granada Rafa started another club called 'Morgan' with a music policy of House , Trip Hop, Acid Jazz.

Since then Rafa has played at all the major Dance Events in Spain including the Festivals Satisfaxion Live Dance Festivals, Techno Tax Madrid, Tribal Nation, Flash Back 2000, Break nation 2000, and many more....

Dj Killer has been a pioneer of the Breakbeat sound in Spain since 94, since then Breakbeat has become one of the most popular styles of dance music in the area.
Now turning his hand to production, Rafa is busy not only writing Breaks but also Tech House and Deep House and running his own House label in Spain.
