Mixer Mag USA Stabilizer People Come Up Functional Breaks Functional Breaks just keeps putting out quality releases. This new one by Stabilizer has a nice skipping beat to it (this is not 2-step though) and warbling acid line with vocal samples from Zach De La Rocha the former frontman for Rage Against the Machine. Shoe Monkey leaves their MC behind to remix "People Come Up." They put a harder beat to it and tweak the piano lines while leaving most of the original bass lines intact to give it a little more energy. 7 |

Muzik Salbilizer People Come Up (Functional Breaks) More Breakbeats of a progressive hue from the south west, with stabilizer getting into a groove and exhorting da people to do the same. Phantom Beats chill more than usual and the remix is the better for it, while Spoon Wizard adds to his reputation on the flip. |

DJ Magazine Stabilizer People Come Up Functional Breaks Once again the south wets represents for breakbeats worldwide and Functional breaks are (and bloody well should be) proud to present their first release from Bath-based Stabilizer. 'People Come Up' shows that the two-step influence is still rubbing off as the slightly deeper than norm record surly is one of the strongest tracks out at present. The deep bass line gets right into your conscience and drives the dancefloor over the edge. Perfect for warm up or clever peak-time DJs. Great record and the 'Spoon Wizard' and 'Phantom Beats' mixes are worthy of a mention, so there you go! **** |

Lotus USA Stabilizer People Come Up Functional Breaks UK "People Come Up" is bound to go big with it's hybridised , funky nature. The original mix is quite a slice of modern breakbeat, dropping in all sorts of zesty elements, through the emphatic samples to the thumping percussion. Turn over for a fantastic set of remixes. The Spoon Wizard goes for a deeper, dreamier sound, while the ever-so slamming Phantom Beats crew lays down the thunk-heavy, shuddering remix rounded out by smoothly layered samples, flitting electronic tidbits and dubby, funk appeal. |
